Fundamentals of Therapeutic Massage (HLTMSG011)

The Fundamentals of Therapeutic Massage course is an introductory course designed to provide a sound platform for learning and understanding of the various approaches and techniques used to perform relaxation massage through to and including the application of deeper tissue movements and application.
This course will provide you with the grounding to provide massage treatments for the professional practice in massage therapy. Should you decide to progress your study and enrol in Certificate IV in Massage Therapy at Massage Schools of Qld you will receive RPL (recognised prior learning) for both Relaxation Massage and Deep Tissue massage and credit of Clinic hours completed.
Completion of this massage course will enable you to seek employment as a massage therapist or work for yourself. You will gain the confidence to plan and carry out therapeutic massage treatments in a professional manner and learn skills in client consultation to assist with assessing individual client needs.

Our trainers are all highly qualified and experienced in the art of massage and have many years of professional service as massage therapists and/or physiotherapists. All are passionate about the many benefits of massage for ongoing health and emotional wellbeing.

Course completion requirements:- 

• 12 hrs – Relaxation massage
• 3 hrs – Clinic Procedures
• 15hrs – Deep Tissue massage
• 20hrs – Student Massage Clinic
