I was just thinking what a great skill massage is to have as its allowed me to find seasonal work both in Australia and overseas as well as work independently when required. In 2006 I was the crew and eliminated contestant Masseuse on 'Survivor' in the Cook Islands which then led to more work in the Art Department in Fiji the following season. I have been studying a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) for the past few years before catching the travel bug. I went skiing in The Dolomites last year, then followed the winter seasons working in Thredbo twice and Niseko, Japan in 2010/2011. I'm actually moving to Italy next week and I managed to find work in a hotel in the Dolomites. I'll be managing their new spa and doing massages and basic beauty treatments (which will be interesting).

I just wanted to expess my gratitude for completing my diploma and especially for recieving the dux award! It came as such a surprise that I would be chosen for such a prestegious award. Beleiving in myself and confidence has always been a bit of a struggle, but having others see something in me has helped with that. I feel I have grown through the study last year and become a stronger person. This was only possible through the constant support and helping hand you all gave me. I really cannot thankyou enough for all my acheivements. You've touched my heart and I'm sure many others also. I'm so excited for the next chapter in my life and career in remedial massage. I am pleased to be associated with the Massage Schools of Queensland. In 2003, I graduated "Dux of the School" with a Diploma of Remedial Massage. Their invaluable education and guidance gave me the required knowledge and skills to practice as a fully qualified Remedial Massage Therapist. Our instructors gave us confidence to face almost every known condition we encounter. I have been running a thriving practice at Salon Shiva at Bell Place Centre in Mudgeeraba for the last 4 years. Many doctors, physiotherapists and chiropractors are continually referring their patients to me. My clients feel comfortable that they are under my capable healing hands. To further enhance my skills, I have undertaken additional courses including Muscle Energy Technique, Body Talk System, a Thai Massage course in Chang Mai and a new technique called Anthro-Neural Myofacilitation just to name a few.
